Bear in mind that it has always been the default browser for Apple Mac PCs and Macbooks since they ditched Netscape's browser after it was part of AOL. I don't understand why they want to move away from Netscape because it was a good alternative browser to Internet Explorer (IE).
Anyway, I have tried Apple's Safari browser which anyone would be able to download the public beta version as of now. I am skeptical because it is still in a beta stage so it might not be as efficient as Netscape or IE on the IBM compatible PCs. I have also read on Apple's website stating the benefits of using the browser compared to other browsers like Firefox, IE, Netscape, Opera and other browser which I don't normally use. It is stated that the browser is on top of the world when it comes to browsing speed. Webpages will load much faster and much more reliable compared to other browser.
After a week's use of Safari, I have stopped using the software because it has nothing special compared to me using Firefox, Internet Explorer or Netscape. I would have to mention that Safari's browsing speed is similar to Netscape 9.0. It is still way behind Firefox and also Internet Explorer. While many people can disagree with me, it is up to them. I do not have preference when it comes to the use of browsers. I take on everything that I can find. I will stick to one if it is good. Well, maybe Safari is still in the experimental stage and it is not the final product yet so... It might be a good browser when it is a final version ready to be used.
In the meantime, I will use Firefox and Internet Explorer instead.
