Wow! Intel have finally roll out its Santa Rosa platform for mobile computing. With a higher FSB of 800mhz and with draft n wireless network card, it is surely a steal! Apparently, the new chipset from Intel is around 20 percent quicker than the previous Core 2 Duo chip. Hum... Excellent. It was said that apart from these two upgrades, customers will also see the appearance of Intel Ready Boost technology and also NAND flash start up. It is suppose to speed up start up and shutdown time. Well, we will see about that.
What I Am more interested in the new chipset is the made available Direct 10 graphics from ATI HD 2900 for mobile platform. That is excellent man! I am sure that there will be more upcoming news regarding the new chipset. Stay tuned!
The funny thing is that Dell is still selling Core 2 Duo chipset for its Inspiron 9400 series for home users. They have yet to introduce Centrino Pro chipset for home users.
