Tan Seri Eric Chia

Well, the man is back! He is being weeled across the courtroom and what was the outcome? He is a free man! Hum... A little too late after 13 years in the making of a free man, right? I can understand how he is feeling now. He has nothing to fear but the lost of his friends as a result of the trial.

I think he should have been a free man 13 years ago. He is just being unlucky at such. I don't think that he has done anything wrong which the judge had spoken during his judgement. That was a relieve to him and to his family. It is not a pretty sight indeed.

Congratulations Eric Chia!

Update: 03/02/2009 - Too bad he passed away...What a shame. We would not know what actually went on in Perwaja Steel...

Tan Sri Eric Chia was accquited yesterday. It seems that there wasn't any grounds to hold him responsible or to convict him. Then why did they 'delay daly' the case for more than a decade? M'sian Legal System is really joke & mockery to humanity!

He's finally free but free at this old age with bad health! very sad, who's going to compensate him for all those years of torment & mental agony?

It's clear that there's an obvious flaw in the Legal System. What about many so called Bumiputra Malaysians that were freed by the court in a short while? most of them go scott free even before the matter arrives to the court.

Well, I think it was wrong to wait 13 years before he could walk out as a free man. In the end, he lost all his friends. I think he now knows who are his real friends. During his trial, I think many people will not want to associate themselves with him thinking that he is a criminal. That is wrong. We are human beings and we should help one and another. We should not shy away. That is a bad attitude.
