Price War

I was quite surprised by the news that more people are coming into sense regarding their surroundings. Take a good example will be the sale of Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallow. It was reported that Tesco Malaysia and Carrefour Malaysia are selling those books at RM69.90 each while other stores are selling tham at RM109.90. Well, what can I say about it?

It will be good that there is a price war going between book stores because it will encourage consumers to choose and pick one up as when they like. I am not saying that competition is always good but in general, competition is good. Well, the published price of the book is at £17.99. It is close to £18 which comes up to around RM120. Book stores who are selling them at RM109.90 is cheaper than in UK!

Well, in the UK, guess what? Tesco and Morrisons are charging customers £5 for each book provided customers spend certain amount of money in their stores. Other book stores are selling the books at £8.99, £10, £12.99 or even at £17.99. I don't know why we have so meny prices for one book. I guess that it is a very good book to read. After all, it is the finale of Harry Potter.

As for me, I have pre-order an adult version of the final Harry Potter book for £8.99. It is fifty percent off the RRP of £17.99.
