Hamilton and Alonso

What will you get when you have two of the world's best contestant in the same team? Simple as it is - competition. Well, what do we have here. Hamilton ignored a direct order from his team to allow Alonso go past him in the final qualifying practise. Hum...That is pretty bad. That is why Alonso is not in speaking term with the Brit. I don't blame Alonso because it was the perfect chance for him to show the world that he is still the F1 champion although Lewis Hamilton has won many races this year.

The fact is that when you have two competing champions, it is really hard for each person to let go the chance. The question here is whether Hamilton's action is a clear cut of putting his own self interest first before his team?

Take Ferrari for instance, when Rubens Barrichello was asked by his team to allow Michael Shumacher to go past him, he did not without any thoughts. Do you know why? He is a hero! He is willing to sacrify his own points for the team. That is team spirit man! The result was that Ferrari was the construction champion and Michael Shumacher was the driver's champion. What happened to Rubens? He was the second best! It does not matter because he was taking the order from his team. They work as a team. What is more important is that we need to work as a team!

What do we have here? It looks to me as if the McLaren team is not united. With team work, we will be able to make things happen. We need to help each other to fulfil the ultimate goal - by winning the construction champion and both drivers are champions (champion and runner up champion). Think about it then.
