I managed to install the broadband with a wireless router which I bought. The problem is that after setting up the wireless broadband, the internet was working but not for the landline. The landline is always engaged.
After numerous calls were made to BT helpline, they said that it might be the fault of the wall filter socket as we need to change it. After changing the wall filter socket, no effect at all. The problem remains the same. Now, the BT techinician said that the fault lies with the router as it is a faulty router.
What sort of nonsense? They could not find the answer and the best way to describe the problem is to blame it on the wireless router. They will never blame it on their faulty products. How could they explain where initially I could get wireless internet but now I can't? Why would they think that it is the fault of the wireless router when wireless internet is possible and only with the engaged landline problem? I see no problem in the wireless router. That is bad. Why don't they send a techinician to come over to have a look at it?
