CCL

Well, if you ever come across this company (CCL), you might want to think about reading this before you make any choice. I am not saying anything bad about this company but I do want to relate a true story.


I bought a product from them around 10 days ago. Upon receiving the good, I happy unpackage the whole thing and then started using it. Immediately I found out that the fan is really noisy. I could not bear the noise. It comes on and off and it is really loud too! I just could not bear the noise!


No doubt there is a defect in designing the fan. I have never come across a laptop so noisy as that one. That is not all, it came with Vista Business. It crashed three times and the system was really sluggish considering the fact that it came with 2GB of DDR2 memory and 250GB of hard disk space. The graphics card is also Direct X 10 ready (Nvidia 8600M GS). So, I don't think there should be a problem in running day to day applications!


Well, without any luck, I have reinstalled the OS three times. I had had enough of the laptop. I need to get it sent back to the company and ask for a refund. I've got the RMA number and the return was alright until today...


I called the company and guess what they told me? They said that the techinician had a go with it and there was nothing wrong with the laptop so I would not be able to get any refund from it. I told them that the fan is really noisy. It will come on and off frequently and the noise is unbearable. Furthermore the OS crashed three times only after two days of using it. I seriously doubt whether the laptop is a sound product!


Oh well, I had to call another line within the company and one of the person working over there will give me a call back later. This is bad service man.



Update(16/10/2007): They can't give me a refund because they said that I have accepted the terms and conditions of the product by registering the product. What sort of nonsense!!! Don't go back to them. They are just a ripped off!!!
