Teenager killed in London

Yet another murder case in London. Check this out. The article was taken from Yahoo News.

LONDON (Reuters) - A murder inquiry was under way on Monday after a teenage boy was stabbed to death in a London park in a row over a stolen mobile phone, police said.

Rizwan Darbar, 17, was attacked by a gang of youths after they took the mobile from one of his friends in Forest Gate, east London, on Sunday.

Darbar was taken to Newham General Hospital where he was pronounced dead less than two hours later. A post mortem is due to be held. No arrests have been made.

Detective Chief Inspector Matt Horne, leading the investigation, appealed for witnesses to the attack in West Ham Park.

He wants to trace three suspects: two are described as black youths aged 18, around 5ft 10ins tall, with short hair. The third is about 18 and 5ft 8ins tall with light skin.

Scotland Yard said in a statement: "The victim was with two friends in the park listening to music on a mobile phone when they were approached by a group of males.

"This group took the phone from one of the victim's friends and the victim was subsequently stabbed.

The murder is the latest in a series of violent deaths involving teenagers in the capital this year.

In March, schoolboy Adam Regis, 15, a nephew of former athlete John Regis, was stabbed to death in a street in nearby Plaistow.

Paul Erhahon, 14, was fatally stabbed a few weeks later by a gang in Leytonstone, a few minutes' drive north of West Ham Park
