Biofuels in UK?

You all should probably know that using of biofuel in UK is uncommen due to the fact that there are not many stations that provide for it. However, according to Yahoo news, the government is keen in forcing consumers to use bio fuel as an alternative source to power their vehicle.

There were reports stating that in actual terms, bio fuel has no significant benefit as they burn fossil fuels too. I don't think it is true because bio fuel is using used products like used cooking oil. After going through a series of filteration and also processes, it is then safe for use as another source of fuel for a vehicle.

The problem is that if your vehicle wants to make use of bio fuel, you need to have a special fuel tank to use bio fuel which is going to add some cost to the start up of using bio fuel. However, if the government does not come up with a legislation, we might end up converting all our vehicles to LPG when petrol or diesel runs out. Petrol and diesel are expensive now days so the government is encouraging people to use alternative fuel to save cost. It is also good that it will help to reduce the amount of carbon dioxide in the atmosphere. It is like killing two birds with one stone.
