O2 UK

If you have signed up a contract on O2 UK for a period of 12 months, you are really lucky because O2 UK has done away with 12 months contract now. They are only offering contracts on a 18 months basis on every single phone. I don't get it. What is the problem with O2? There are many people like me who does not like to go on a long contract period. You would have to be mad to go on a 18 months contract. I don't. The last time I had a contract was actually a 12 months contract on the O2 network.

I don't know why O2 wants to remove the option of 12 months to customers. Is it because it is a waste of time as no one wants to take up the offer or is it because it will cause o2 to lose a lot of money if they allow customers to go on a 12 months contract? I don't see the point of doing so but I would have to say that despite of this, I am still loving it. I mean I still have faith in O2 because they are one of the best network providers. At least they don't lock their handsets like other mobile networks do. It is pathetic, anyway.

I guess we have to abide by the 18 months rule now, eh?

Oh yes, they are upgrading their billing system so those customer's billing system are from 13-20 of each month will see that they can delay their payment until October 2008. That is a one off situation though.
