Economic Downturn - Who to be Blame?

I have been listening to the news on the radio and also on the television recently. Usually, I would just logon to the internet to read newspaper. However, nowdays I don't really like to read the news anymore. Do you know why?

Traditionally, news are there to keep us inform of what is going on in the world today and what is more important is that news will keep us focused in what we should be doing or what we have achieved. What is not cool for the press to do is to sensationalise the information to give a negative feedback by the people.

We all know that the economic downturn is pretty bad now days. What is the press doing now days? Other than reporting how bad is the economy, will they ever report anything else? None whatsoever. I am getting sick and tired of reading the news about the bad economy. The press is not really doing their job to ensure that the economy will recover. Do you know why? They should report what steps have been done or about to do by the government, organisations or even other companies in other countries to counter the economy downturn.

The economic crisis is all about consumer's spending power. First, we had rise of fuel prices by oil companies. They said that oil prices have increased because they need to pay more for producing oil but instead they are making more money. How do you clarify that piece of information? Were there any news about oil companies making millions every month despite the economic downturn? Any report on that? None whatsoever.

I don't think the press is channeling their energy in reporting what should be reported in the news. The latest news is Britain is in recession, according to a financial body. The question is: So, what about it? Is it news? Nope. Not really. It will be news if they report something on what Gordan Brown or Alistair Darling is about to do or had done to revive the eonomy. With people like George Soros who short sells shares in the market, the world economy will fall to preys like George Soros. He is smart but with his selfishness, he will bring down the economy. I'm sorry but it is the fact.

The press is a very powerful tool. People listen to news and talk about what has been reported every single day. It comes to a time where it is not news anymore - Like now. I am pretty sad in the way how the press is doing their job. It is pretty sad... The gap between the rich and the poor is increasing...
