Perhaps they think that since the opposition party has taken over the place around 20 years ago, it is high time for local councils to impose parking charges which they have never done that before. Does this sugges that the government is short of money? Oh no, that is what the government will say as the parking charges are implace to curb parking problems around the area.
Well, they have a point. There are many errant drivers who would simply park at that whimp and fancies. By imposing parking charges, it will ensure that there is order within the area. Well, that is good, don't you think so? Well, on the other side of the coin, by imposing a higher parking charges, it would mean that people will not want to go out more often during peak time as it will be rather expensive to park.
What about using public transport then?
Forget about it. I do understand that there is a proper public bus timetable throughout the Klang Valley and certainly the traffic situation should improve, right? Nope...The traffic situation is still bad or even worst than ever since the government have decided, finally, it has started to improve the congested roads around the Klang Valley.
I have seen that there are more enforcement officers around bus stops and bus stations to monitor bus drivers. Most of the time, in the early days, Metro bus drivers will be waiting for a long time before getting on with their journey. This is to maximise their profits. With this sort of attitude, it will only a)waste passenger's time and b)clog up the road as many Metro bus drivers will follow suit.
With the new system, bus drivers would have to stick to their time schedule. I love it! It will ease the traffic surrounding the city. If they don't, those bus drivers will either receive a penalty or have their licence revoked. Sounds good, isn't it? I think it is getting pretty civilised. I love it! However, I still don't quite like the fact that there would only be one bus per hour running from my place to town. That is rediculous! Does it mean that the route is not profitable so the government have decided not to provide more bus services to the area?
