Malaysia's First Astronaut

Remember Malaysia's first astronaut? He was recently being accused of charging people up to RM8,000 an hour and he has received RM1.2 million since his return from the space station last october. Yes, he is our very first astronaut in space and he has received contributions from the public.

What we are unsure is whether he is bound to a contract which stipulated that he can't profit from his trip to space. If he is to receive money from the public, he would have to forward it to the ministry or deposit it into a trust.

For all we know that he has received contributions from the public. Right now there is a proble going on regarding the said allegation. It is pretty sad to see that he is under probe. Dr. Sheikh Muszaphar is brilliant, good looking, smart and sporting. He has received many praises for his work and particularly being the very first Malaysian in space. The question is why this probe is targetting him? Out of jealousy?

If he is bound to such a contract which prevents him from profitering and he has done so, he should return thr money and deposit them into a trust fund. If there is no such contract which prevents him from doing so or money was given to him as in the form of contribution, I think he has the right to do so.
