Repair Laptop

I was thinking of repairing a laptop which I have not been using for quite a long time. In fact, the laptop surface is badly scratched and the laptop needs some TLC.

Well, what can I do? I can just remove all the fittings and have a look whether it needs some work. I don't really see much of the dust inside the laptop. It is really clean inside the laptop. That is good, right?

Basically, I have to update the memory on the laptop. Since itis using ddr sodimm, it is quite difficult to get hold of one.
