If you follow the news in Malaysia, you will come to know that U Mobile is the latest mobile provider to enter the market. Originally, I do believe that they have bought over the 018 network from Sapura Telecommunications which offers Analogue voice services to Malaysians about ten years ago. Right now, with new owners, they are back!
I am quite interested in the 'per second' billing. It means that customers will only be charged for every single second that they have used instead of being charged for in a block of thirty seconds or sixty seconds even though you have only used 20 seconds or less. That is basically what other mobile providers are charging.
I don't work for U Mobile but I think it is good to give it a go with their prepaid service. Their voice service is charge at 0.8 sen per second and it goes the same to video calling too! I love it very much! The best of all is that sending a text message will only cost consumers 8 sen! That is marvellous! I love it!
Well, of all the good things, there are some downfall too. First of all, the RM10 top up is only valid for 10 days! That is rediculous. Secondly, after the 10 days, you can only receive calls but not make calls for another 100 days without reloading. After 100 days without reloading, you will lose your number. Well, RM10 per three months is not too much to ask for, right?
