Unlocking G1

Yes, according to Tomshardware, the mighty G1 with Andriod OS is unlocked!!! The bad thing is that it cost you around US$24 for a pop so it is bad but nevertheless, it is good because users can now use other network providers and not stick to T mobile for it!

Personally, I have not being able to get my hands on one of them when it was launched but I see that there are many potential for the OS. It is like Symbian OS where it is quite flexible unlike the now, demised UIQ OS... Oh well, the G1 will be very popular with its new OS and I hope to get my hands on one unit in the near future to test out its capabilities. If not, never mind about it because I am still waiting for Nokia's first touch screen mobile phone to roll out soon!!!
