Motorola Aura

Alright, I see that there is a new kid in town. Yes, I am not talking about human being but Motorola Aura. It could be yours for a cool £1,350. Yes, can you imagine a mobile phone at that sort of price? What is so special about the Motorola Aura then?

The Motorola Aura's screen is made from sapphire crystal. That will make it one of the most scratch resistant screen ever made in human history. Apart from that, the screen supports 16 million colours. That is the first for Motorola phones. The next exciting thing is that the design of the phone reminds us of the legendary Motorola V70 back in the early 2002.

Motorola claims that the Aura will filter background noise as they have developed their own CrystalTalk Technology to bring Motorola up to speed. Customer will expect a piece of collectable which will worth their money as it was said that the Aura is sturdy and of proper build. That will eliminate any loose ends just like in the Motorola V70.

Having said that, the Aura only supports GSM quadband and with 2GB onboard, I think it is sufficient for many customers. It is sad to see that no 3G support on this product. Shame on you, Motorola! Look at the Nokia 8800 Carbon or Arte! They have quite a good reputation despite of their prices. However, I think Motorola is trying to push one of their phones into the niche market, just like the Nokia 8800 series. Good luck to them!!!
