Overclock Q6600 update

Yes, I wrote about overclocking the Q6600 before but this is rather an update of the earlier articles. Ever since I went online to research about a more reasonable and practical overclocking of the Q6600 on my Gigabyte P35-DS3R mobo, I have come to a conclusion that using the M.I.T., enable tweaking and set the PCI value to 100 instead of auto. Set the SPD value of the memory to 2.4 instead of auto. The last thing to do is, if you just want to overclock your rig to 3.0Ghz from 2.4Ghz, just change the second last item on the SVC to 1.2750. Save it and reboot and you will be alright. I am sure that the G0 version of the Q6600 will be able to handle it. Oh yes, make sure you have installed good set of memory modules. I am using quad channel DDR2-800 memories from Geil (with dragon eye lights).Your system should be alright.

Good luck!
