Sorry dude, only 10 subjects please...

I have come across someone who scored more than 13As for her SPM examination. I just don't understand how could they do it. Thirteen subjects for SPM? That is just way too much! Back in the days I could remember that we could only sit for eleven subjects including 1119 but now days it is incorporated into the English language paper. Well, at that time it was not.

I feel that students have themselves to answer for. Parents would really want their kid to excel. Well, having scored many As would not be the only answer to a child's future. Obviously with examination results in flying colours will certainly help the child to a better opportunity in securing his/her job in the future but that is not the end.

I feel that the government should not stop people from taking more than ten subjects in their SPM. It's their life and so there should be a challenge. Otherwise, how are we going to differentiate between the first class, second upper class and second lower class students then?

I still feel that the it should have been brought down to a maximum of 7 subject only. I believe the minimum now is 5 compulsory subjects.

Concentrating on 5 compulsory subjects is good enough. Getting all straight As and graduating for Oxford doesn't secure your future in any extra ordinary way. At the end of the day, it is still the individual's performance in the working world which is not just restricted to academic excellence!

I have to say that peer pressure is the root cause of all problems. Well, I did eleven subjects last time but that was the end of it. I just don't want to push myself too hard. It goes the same to other people... Just chill! Don't force yourself too much or you will end up in the hospita as a result of your mind going blank during exams...
