T-mobile 3G at 7.2Mbps

While many mobile providers are struggling to role out their 7.2Mbps 3G service, T-Mobile, apparently, going to role out their 21Mbps 3G service by 2010! This was confirmed by spokeperson from the T-mobile camp. What is important is that this is going to affect USA consumers only as the firm is battling with AT&T over who-runs-the-fastest-speed figure. To me, speed is just another number. What is important is the availability of mobile phones to accomodate such speed! I know that T-Mobile is going to role out their mobile broadband to accomodate 21Mbps next year and this is a good time to do so. Hey! When is the technology going to arrive at UK's shores? I will be looking forward to the good news then.

I do feel that Virgin Mobile UK is doing a good job. If you are not picky and are willing to take up a SIM only contract, I think you should start thinking about Virgin Mobile. Forget about 3 UK because they can only provide you with empty promises. Vodafone UK is trying to catch up with Virgin Mobile and T-Mobile's SIM only contract by offering £10 a month deal. However, it is not as good as Virgin Mobile's £18 SIM only contract - 300 minutes with unlimited text messages and the best of all, unlimited internet usage (subjected to fair usage policy). What Vodafone and offer you is a 500MB of internet usage per month at £7.50 a month extra while you need to pay £20 on T-Mobile for limited internet usage. Forget about Orange as it is rather expensive as compared to Virgin Mobile and T-Mobile.

Well, since Virgin Mobile runs on the T-Mobile as an MNVO, it uses T-Mobile's network and it is comparatively cheaper than other network providers. Go for Virgin Mobile UK's SIM only contract if you are thinking of taking up one for yourself.
