Nokia Software Updater (NSU) on Windows 7

I have mentioned about not being able to install any Nokia Software Updater on Windows 7 before I have decided to move over to Windows XP, remember? Well, I've got the answer to the questions!

If you have Windows 7 pre-installed on your laptop/pc and you wish to update your mobile device, you will get an error message stating that the NSU does not support Windows 7. That is totally true because if you look here, it tells you that the only two Operating Systems which the software will support is actually Windows XP and Vista (both 32 bit and 64 bit). How are you going to install NSU on your Windows 7 if the software does not support Windows 7?

There is a solution to your problem. First of all, download the latest version of the NSU from nokia.co.uk. After doing so, right click on the programme file and select "properties". When a new page opens up, select "compatibility". Checked on the first box which shows "run this program in compatibility mode for:" Using the pull down menu, select "Windows Vista (Service Pack 2)". After doing so, click "apply" and then "ok".

Once you have done so, come out of the programme and double click on the software to install it. You will be able to install the programme after this. Good luck!
