Mahathir on Anwar

After reading this page, I began to wonder as to why Mahathir has lashed out on Anwar as to whether he is still loyal to his country. I also don't understand why Mahathir is taking the interviews of Anwar as a basis that Anwar is switching sides (supporting Jewish groups) just because he is always on CNN?

After reading lots of newspapers online, I have come to a conclusion that perhaps Mahathir is just jealous of Anwar. No offence to the great man though. Look, the government under BN at the moment is going through a tough phase. It seems that more people are circulating the disappearance of Altantuyah was linked to Najib and his wife. No doubt that both Najib and his wife gave press conferences that they had nothing to do with Altantuyah's death but it would be between God and themselves. Nobody will know the truth, not even Balasubramaniam because he was not at the scene when Altantuyah was allegedly being blown up by C4 explosives.

Besides the death of Altantuyah, we also have the news that corruption is widely practised in Malaysia. This could be seen in the death of Altantuyah again as she was promised a handsome RM 500,000  for being the 'middle man' in successfully negotiate a submarine deal almost five years ago. Don't you think that would be corruption? If that is not bad enough, Bala was promised RM 5 million if he keeps quiet about the Altantuyah case. Wow... RM5 million is quite a lot of money for someone though... I think RM 1 million is sufficient to live a happy life forever, don't you think so?

I just don't understand why Mahathir keeps on attacking Anwar. Perhaps both people could not see eye to eye, that is why. With Sarawak under the opposition's control, I think it will be very hard for the BN lead government to restore their clean image. We do not need to go too far. The person who gave Anwar a black eye had to retire but nothing was said about his pension. However, look at Chua Jui Meng for instance...His two Datukships were withdrawn by the Sultan of Johor for no apparent reason... Well, the palace does not need to give any reasons for them to do so as it is their privilege which we could not question. Having said that, does it have anything to do with the fact that he has crossed over from MCA to PKR? Curious though.

Coming back to the issue of Sarawak, I do feel sad for Sarawakians. They have lots of oil reserves and it would make them the richest State in Malaysia. Well, can you see any major development in Sarawak itself? Most of the tall buildings and infrastructures could be seen in the West Malaysia but not for East Malaysia like Sarawak. Question is...Where has the oil royalties gone? Malaysia does export oil to other countries and it should make Sarawak a central hub for the oil refining industry. Can you see any major improvement at all? One could only wonder where has the Sarawak Chief Minister Taib Mahmud gone... His family runs the State, literally and has it benefitted the people? Not really though. It only benefitted his family most. Check out more from this blog...

In the end, I would think that people like RPK and Anwar should be spared the court appearances as it is a waste of the courts time. Look at Anwar's two sodomy trials. There were no conclusive evidence against him and yet the AG tried their best to prove beyond reasonable doubt. Shame on the AG!

I am not going to be on anybody's side. I am just stating the obvious. Think about it then... When is Malaysia going to have their own Human Rights Act? The British has it but Malaysia is still far from it... With the failure of the MACC to appear in London to record statements from Balasubramaniam could be seen as MACC has 'chicken out'. Oh dear...

We need a strong country. We need to bridge the gap between the rich and the poor.

The opposition has only one seat in Sarawak for now. It still remains a BN Strong.
