Bad News for O2 UK

Just checked on the O2 website and also their monthly magazine today and I was quite unhappy about their price plan. Not that their price plan is no good but it is going to change the whole perception about O2 network.

For those people who wants to take out a new contract thinking that they could use any 08 numbers to gain access to overseas calls will have to think again. They no longer support for any 08 numbers as their inclusive minutes. This would mean that for those who had their existing contract, it is best to keep it that way and not cancelling their contract. If they do, they will not be able to take advantage of the inclusive minutes using 08 numbers.

If this is true, it will mean that from now on, O2 is no better than any other networks in the UK. It is now down to who can provide for the most minutes for a cheaper price because people will have to buy a calling card in anyway since 08 numbers are not included in their free minutes. People could look into '3' and Vodafone perhaps for cheaper price and yet you do have good coverage. Think about it...

Any idea guys?
