To begin with, Iraq is a country which is filled with many cultures. It was a city where many people would like to settle down as it was a city which filled with riches partly from its history and also from their oil reserve.
However, when Saddam Hussein took over, everything changed. We as outsiders do not know what is happening anymore as news normally are confined to locals only and not much of news are being aired over western countries. It is just like in the olden China. Now, China is different. They have open its door to many people including foreigners but one cannot jeopardise the integrity of the party.
Coming back to Iraq, we saw how Saddam Hussein was being tried in court and then hang until death. That was the end of the first half of the job. What is important now is with the old school of thought is over, there should be unity among Iraqi people. They should not be fighting among each other. They should be united and form a new government and live a better life. Instead, people are now scared to go out at night. Curfews are widely used in Iraqi. We can also see news how many people die each day in Iraq. The question is: Why? Is it because the Iraqi people could not trust western soldiers at all? I don't know.
I don't have the answer. I don't know the true picture. It will be good if someone were to be kind enough to tell me. I just don't know why there are so mnay killings each day in Iraq. The Iraqi people should be living in harmony and not fighting among themselves. The question is: why? Why is this happening?
I really hope that I will be able to interview an Iraqi citizen whom I met a few months ago. We keep in constant contact and perhaps I will be lucky to put up an interview with him. I want to know why he left his country and stay over here in the UK.
Apart from Iraq, we have a major problem in Afghanistan. It was under the Taliban's rule but until now, we can still find destructions in Afghanistan as in many people are killed. The question is: Why? They should start building the country so that the people will start to prosper. Why is the country still suffering from numerous attacks from the so called insurgents? I wish I have an answer for it. This is just my thoughts.
I really hope that someone will be able to help these two countries. Who are the ones that are suffering? Those people who are living in these two coutnries are suffering big time. I really hope that someone will be able to restore the order properly in the future. It is my two cents worth.
