Danger: Sunbed!!!

For those people who liked to go for sunbed and spend long hours on it would have to think again. One woman died as a result of exposing herself too much of sunlight. Well, here it goes. The article was taken from yahoo news as of 06/07/2007:

A woman who died of skin cancer after using sunbeds twice a day for seven years is to be laid to rest.

Zita Farrelly, 29, of Salford, Greater Manchester, first used sunbeds when she was 14 but stopped aged 21 when she saw health warnings about overuse.

But the mother-of-two found a mole on her leg last year and was diagnosed with melanoma, which was caused by spending too much time on sunbeds.

She was treated at the Christie cancer hospital in Manchester but specialists were unable to save her.

Her family are now warning people about the dangers of using the machines. Ms Farrelly's partner Phil Burtwistle said sunbeds had "destroyed the family's life".

A fund-raising party will be held on what would have been Ms Farrelly's 30th birthday on July 18 in aid of St Ann's Hospice in Manchester, where she spent her final days.

Kindly take note, that the Cancer is caused by the over exposure to Sun. Over exposure of Sunlight that is. Nothing to do with what you use to lie down or relax on the beach or balcony. It's the Sun that causes Cancer.

I think exposed too much to the sun is bad for our skin. It is a well known fact. I do understand that we need vitamin D but too much of everything is also bad, ok?
