Well, I am not surprised for this news to appear on the internet because first of all, Apple locked the phone to a specific carrier only. Secondly, for those who had their iphone unlocked by someone else other than the carrier, they will have their iphone locked if they update the iphone's firmware in the future.

Well, if it is proven that the iphone can send sensitive information to the apple server, can it also send user's contact numbers and log calls to the server too?
