Chow Earn Ting

I have to say that I did have a very good friend before. She is a marvellous girl. I knew her since we were in primary school. Well, we were in the same secondary school too although we were not in the same class. After graduating from secondary school, we remain in touch for quite some time.

I used to give her a call and we will be going out for tea in the middle of the night. We enjoyed the company very much. Both of our parents knew each other a lot and we were of the same age. It is so strange that we were never in a relationship because I always treat her as my elder sister. I don't know about her but she would always call me too.

Well, I could remember the time where she was working in a software company and earning a good salary. She drives to work and had a boyfriend. Althogh I was in a relationship at that time, we still keep in touch because she was my neigbour!!! Hahahaha... Nothing more than that.

I could remember that she had a lot of problems since she started working. She worked hard and most of the time she will call me because she needs company. We had some good times talking about everything.She was having work related problems. On top of that she had family problems. I am not going into the specifics but I was really sad about that. In fact, at that time, I was hoping that she would be in good terms with her boyfriend so that he can take care of her. Well, not really...

She committed suicide. I could still remember the moment that I have heard about it from her friend. She called my cellphone and told me that she has committed suicide. I could not believe it and I was speechless...

I don't know what to say but I really hope that she will be having a better time in heaven. I missed her terribly but I know that she was in great pain. Sometimes I still blame myself. She was gone... five years ago from this month. She was not somebody. She was Chow Earn Ting, a great person whom I knew and a very close friend of mine. Rest in Peace.
