Apple Iphone Update

I think you all should know that the Apple Iphone is a 'killer' phone due to its functionality. It is versatile where you can actually take video clips and broadcast it on the internet. The phone is capable of taking 2MP pictures and the OS is fantastic. The downside to it is:

(1) No support for 3G network;

(2) It is locked to a single network unless you are willing to go to France to buy an unlocked version which would have cost you around £800;

(3) The Iphone battery is not replaceable. What would happened if you need to buy a new battery for your Iphone when it is time to change? Surely the rechargable battery could not last a life time, right?

(4) No QWERTY keyboard.

There are some unlocked Iphone selling on eBay but just to be careful as once you update the firmware, the phone will be locked again. That is really terrible. In the UK, the Iphone is locked to O2. Oh well, perhaps after you have finished going through 18 months, O2 will provide you with an unlock code to unlock the phone then.

Well, I don't think people are willing to buy the Iphone. The device is not complicated but Carphonewarehouse made it complicated (insurance claim) and the matter was brought to Watchdog's attention. Seems that in the programme, Carphonewarehouse employees told customers that if they have an Apple Iphone and took out an insurance with other companies, they will have to pay up the existing comtract before they can take up a new Apple Iphone. I don't see the logic in that. What is the point of having an insurance where you can't claim on it if disaster were to struck? Anyway, Carphonewarehouse apologies and made it clear that they will provide more training for their staffs. I think they just want customers to take up their own company's insurance policy rather than from O2's. That is naughty.
