Microsoft Windows Update

Windows XP SP3

The up and coming update for Windows XP is finally here. It will be a public release in April 2008. Seems that the SP3 will have a significant impact on Windows XP. According to Devil Mountain who conducted the test, SP3 is the update for Windows XP. Users will be able to see a ten percent increase in speed compared to non SP3 XPs. That is wonderful, don't you think so?

I mean, it has been the talk of the town since last year that Microsoft is going to release the SP3. Now we do have a final date of release as it will be in April 2008.It includes over 1,000 hotfixes and updates for Windows XP. Good work!

Windows Vista SP1

However, as for the SP2 for Vista, Devil Mountain has suggested that the service pack is not going to perform miracles. Early test suggested that the SP1 will not have a significant impact on the performance of Vista as compared to Windows XP with SP3. Nevertheless, I think users of Vista across the world will be looking forward to the public release of SP1. I am sure about it.

Windows 7

Boy! Microsoft must be joking. They don't even manage to make Vista more stable than ever but they are going to release Windows 7 by 2010! That is something to shout about. Currently, I think many people will agree with me that XP is far more superior than Vista not taking into account the marvellous GUI of Vista. Better GUI will require better pc specification. If it is possible, I would want to revert back to XP. Unfortunately, my laptop manufacturer will not and shall not release any Windows XP drivers at all. That is a shame.
