It was a different tone after the recent March 8, 2008 election poll results have appear. At that time, he refused to step down because he thinks that he will be able to put things right. After all, it is only for another term or so. However, the situation is getting out of hand, actually. People seems to have lost confidence in him running the country. No doubt that BN still retains a simple majority in the parliament - A far cry five years before where by BN had 90% of the seats in the Parliament. It indicates that something has gone wrong and ratification process must proceed before BN loses more seats in the Parliament.
PM Abdullah has changed his tone. He is now more subtle towards his style of running the country. He has even named his successor - Dato Najib to replace him when he retires. I don't know when he is going to retire but hopefully, the economic stand point of the country will recover when Najib takes over. If and when Najib takes over, he has a tough job is keeping inflation down while increasing foreign investment. It will be tough for Najib but I really hope that he will be able to do the job. After all, he is the best candidate as of now. Are you sure? What about Hishamuddin then? Is he qualified for the big chair?
*Nah*
Not at this point in time.
