No doubt that there are teething issues to sort out with but the olympics have shown developed countries like USA that China can be like USA or even scoring better than them in the economic sense. Many companies have flock to China to do business with their Chinese counterpart. Until now, I would have to say that I am proud of China because their economy is booming still. I really hope that UK's economy will be alright soon.
It was stated recently that China's export have decreased and they are a little bit worried about the economy of the world. That is why the federal bank have released a record sum of around 20 billion yuan or more to stimulate the economy. I think that is inline with what the Bank of England have done (they have released a total of £50 billion to stimulate the economy).
Right now, China have demonstrated their capabilities in hosting such a huge event. To the eyes of a foreigner, China has laid down the benchmark of what an Olympic game should be. Congratulations! Oh yes, right now, China is doing their profit and loss account in hosting the recent olympic game. It seems that although they have spent a lot for the game, they have actually made a profit in it! Moreover, they are going to auction everything from the olympic village, which is good though. In that sense, they will be able to earn some money or at least, get some some of them instead of making a loss. It is just the same goes to Malaysia where officials sold the Commonwealth village off to the public after the 1998 16th Commonwealth Games in Kuala Lumpur. I remember it very well... It brought back very good memories...
I do remember about the 16th Commonwealth Games... I was not there but it brought back a lot of good memories to me...
