PM Abdullah Met Ahmadinejad

It is no surprised to see that our PM, Datuk Seri Abdullah Ahmad Badawi met up with Iranian PM Mahmoud Ahmadinejad. I am saying this is because there is a close tie between Malaysia and Iran. One similarity is is that both are categorised as Islamic country. Moreover, I would not be surprised that Badawi can speak fluent Arabic. The thing is, what is the problem then?

Well, it means that both countries will strengthen the ties between two countries especially in trade and tourism. That will be a good thing. However, I am quite uneasy when I read in The Sun that if Pakatan Rakyat is successful in forming a government, PAS wants to implement hudud law in Malaysia. I think it is rather extreme to implement such a law because it will only drive people away from the country. I do agree with what other members of the Pakatan Rakyat had suggested, namely DAP, stating that with the implementation of hududd law is rather too extreme.

What we need to do now is to actually move forward and not backwards. What do you think?
