Barclays Bank Heise

I came out of a building along a High Street near my place and guess what? I saw a security van parked in front of Barclays Bank and there were about six police, four of them taking statements from bystanders or witnesses while two of them went on to look for clues. A big section was sealed off from the public and I would have guess... Someone tried to steal the cashbox. I don't know whether they managed to steal the cashbox or whether the robbers got away or what. I did not witness the whole incident. All I saw was the two security guard, presumably employed by the company as they had their uniforms on, were chatting with the police.

Oh dear, why would someone want to steal a cashbox? I mean it is useless because there is no motorway around that place and it will be really difficult for them to escape. Besides that, we have the chopper from the air, called sign India 99 to help. I don't know what really happened but I am just trying to put two and two together. I hope that no one got hurt.

Update on 30/01/2009: Indeed the thieves managed to cart away a box of cash from the delivery security van. It's really sad. I think we better be more careful nowdays...
