Lenovo S12

Have you heard about Lenovo's latest offering? Yes, it is the 12.1" baby supporting a 1280x800 resolution. Best of all, it is using the Nvidia's Ion platform... What do you get when you pair an Intel Atom N270 with Nvidia's 9400GS Graphics card? It will be superb, don't you think so?

I think Lenovo should upgrade the cpu from N270 to N280 since the later is more efficient than the N270. Other than that, I think the Lenovo S12 will be a hit!!! Right now, we have Dell's mini 12 which is a bummer... It has limitations particlarly in its memory capability (it only supports 1GB). Samsung's NC20 is good in the sense that it will support up to 2GB of memory. The Lenovo Ideapad S12 will be a good offer since it is offering an alternative graphics card as opposed to the general Intel GMA 950 graphics card which is quite under par in performance wise.

The specification of the Lenovo's S12 will be similar to the Dell Mini 10 apart from the screen size. One thing to take note is that the S12 will only take in DDR2 533mhz memory chip. What happened to the 667mhz memory chip which is so widely used?

We will have a look at it when it arrives in July 2009 for around US$449 for the base model. You can customise your S12. Don't you think it is good? I just can't wait!!! I am thinking of the S12 and also the Samsung NC20. I will have a look at it when the S12 arrives...
