'3 Like Home' coming to an end

Remember '3' always boast about their ability to offer better service to its customers? Remember its advertising gimmick about helping consumers to save? Well, all good things will come to an end. I'll tell you why.

After 30th June 2009, customers will no longer be able to use '3 Like Home'. It is a service where customers of '3' will be able to use their inclusive minutes and texts when they are in seven countries in the world (namely Sweden, 3 Denmark, 3 Austria,3 Italy,3 Hong Kong,3 UK and 3 Ireland without the need to pay roaming charge. I felt that it is just too good to be true. Well, what can I say about it now? 3 is offering new deals where they will charge less per minute for UK customers in Republic of Ireland calling back to UK numbers. Now we see that it is just not worth using 3 at all, not mentioning their appauling customer service.Customers will have to pay for roaming charges after 30th June 2009 (for '3 Like Home' customers)

Just beware of 3. Never use their service at all. I am so happy that my six months contract is coming to an end soon. I will be really happy to leave 3 as they are just a crapy network. They always advertise good things about themselves but they don't really save customer's money at all. Stick with Vodafone and O2. Stay away from 3.I suspect the main reason for 3 to do away with the '3 Like Home' programme is due to the low cap on international roaming rates set up by the EU Commission. That is not very nice, isn't it? Taking away a service and feed it to another programme. There is no savings at all for 3 customers. What a rip off!!!

Vodafone on the other hand is abolishing roaming charges. Who says that Vodafone is expensive? I think it is just right to sign up a contract with Vodafone. Their customer service and network connectivity is second to none. Bravo Vodafone UK!!!
