Freedom of Religion

I do believe that everyone should be given the right to choose what sort of religion he or she wants. It is not a must that an individual should be restricted to what was being told either by parents, family members, friends or even the law. There should be freedom of religion as stipulated by the constitution, don't you think so?

I do understand that it is a sensitive issue but nevertheless it is important for a human being to practise his or her basic human rights! What is the secret in getting someone to believe in any faith at all? Well, the answer is not so straight forward at all.

Usually, we would think that our parents do play a great part in allowing us to experience in their faith since young. As the time goes by, we are more tuned to the particular faith and we do get accustomed to the particular faith. In the end, we stick to the particular faith until we leave this world. That would be easy, right? I mean, it is an ideal situation without taking into account any other unforseen circumstances.

There are also another group of people who started off in one faith and changed to another faith later on in their life. I have the oportunity to ask a few of them the reason why they are thinking of joining other faith. One of them told me that the reason why they are leaving is simple. The faith which they are now believing no longer is the ideal faith they thought it would be. Why? It could be where they have finally realised that for all these years they have been in a faith which is not flexible at all. They try to put forward their thoughts to the highest ranking person in the holy sanctuary but their thoughts are being denied. They need a faith which is more fliexible and not so rigid.

As the saying goes, rigidity is not in the favour of mankind. That is why after a fashion, they got fed-up with it and they leave the said premise and seek other faiths or other establishment, not necessary to leave his faith. It is just to find another establishment which is suitable for them.

Well, it is true.

Anyway, there are many reasons as to why people try to seek other faiths for help. Most of them, they will only recognise that there is a God up there when they are in need of help! That is so typical, don't you think so?

Coming back, there are also people who wants to try other faiths due to personal reasons. A woman told me that she is leaving the particular establishment because her thoughts are not being heard of even she has beeen asking for forgiveness and wanting to put forward her thoughts for 20 years! She said that she has given ample time and so be it. Others, they were influenced by the tough of God that they believed in Him and want to know Him more. That is excellent, right?

For whatever reasons people want to believe in God, so be it. I believe that there is a God up there watching over us. The evidence that I have seen and personally gone through is unquestionable.

In the end, everything said over here will be fruitless if they choose not to believe in God. It is up to the individual to decide which faith he or she wants. There should be freedom of religion and an individual should not be forced to accept any faiths at all.
