Earthquake in Malaysia?

I Don't think Malaysia has earthquake but nevertheless yesterday's earthquake in Sumatera was felt in various parts of Malaysia. There were warning signs and people were asked to come out of their building until it was safe for them to go back to their homes again.

Certainly it is not a good sign. We have been taught that Malaysia is not within the earthquake and volcano belt for the last few centuries, at least, not until the recently tsunami which scientist said that it caused the shift in the plates and moved Malaysia closer to the earthquake belt. It is not a good sign. I am in fear of Malaysians who are living in high rise uildings.

I don't think all buildings in Malaysia are earthquake proof except for KLCC, at least. I have no idea but I really hope that in future, the government should set a requirement for builders to build high rise buildings to witstand shocks, just in case.
