I have nothing against the author because he based his research on satistics. I think what people does not realise is that going to a gym to exercise is not the only solution to obesity. Having a few sessions a week in the gym would not stop a person from being obese if he or she continues to eat fatty food! I mean a person's diet would have to change if he or she wants to be slim. That would include a better diet and also doing regular exercise. You do not need to be too extreme in doing exercise because it will result in excessive wear and tear of your tissues. Just be normal and so some exercise regularly and you will be fine. The most important thing is that your eating habits will have to change. Otherwise, one will stay obese!
Besides that, a person would have to have a strong determination to continue staying slim as in continue eating properly and exercise regularly. Otherwise, the weight issue will remain and staying slim is impossible. I think having a good circle of friends are important to share your happiness and also to console you whenever you are down because normally when a person is unhappy, he or she will resort to food. Last but not least, please stay away from fast food!!!

Bottom line is, every individual reacts differently to weight loss strategies. At the end of the day, it's what an individual's body can accept & hopefully react positively.
