Nokia E90

I have been looking out for my next ultimate phone in the market. Guess what? I was really disappointed. Do you know why? I could not find one other than the Nokia N95 8GB. Presently, it is the ultimate mobile phone. You can do many things with it e.g. GPS; as a MP3 player; 30fps Video recorder with stereo speakers; 5MP Carl Zeiss optics with autofocus; PIM functions; 3G video calling and receiving; sync with your pc or laptop and also mobile phone functions including 3.5G web browsing. Since it comes with Symbian 9.2 OS, you can install many softwares in it. The weight of the phone is actually 128g and I do like the size of the screen (2.8"). Standby and talking time on the Nokia N95 8GB is pretty impressive (3 days standby without much usage and 2 days with normal usage [with 3G reception off]).

However, if you enable 3G reception, you will tend to find that your battery will drain much faster. Ofcause using GPS and listen to the radio and mp3s will drain your battery quickly too. Besides that, the phone is absolutely a gem! I would recommend people to have the Nokia N95 8GB. You can have a look at it here. However, I do believe that there should be a new winner. Can it be the upcoming N96 which comes in 16GB of internal storage and you can also have the option of increasing the internal storage by purchasing memory cards? Oh well, the Nokia N96 is pretty impressive on paper but it is nothing more than a Nokia N95 8GB with 16GB of storage. Oh well, nothing spectacular about it. What I am looking for is a phone which is more towards the category of the Nokia 9300i Communicator.

Yes, I've got it. It must be the Nokia E90. Oh yes! It must be the Nokia E90. With two screens clocking in at 16 million colours and good standby time, it is a true Communicator. Nokia has do away with the Series 80 OS on the E90, instead they have installed the very same OS as the Nokia N95 8GB - Symbian 9.2. Excellent! On paper, the phone is amazing! Nokia has fused entertainment with business! The Nokia E90 is equipped with a 3.2MP autofocus digital camera (not Carl Zeiss lens). Basically the E90 is an enhanced N95 8GB in a Communicator clamshell. Go for it!
