With the reduction of petrol and diesel prices, you, as a consumer, would think that food and beverage prices will fall, right? It will be so in many countries but NOT in Malaysia. You can argue that certain food and beverage prices have fallen by 10sen (actually only less than five items). That decrease in price was a result of a directive from the government. Without the government's intervention, food prices will remain quite high. What can people do about it then?
Food and beverage is one of the four essentials in life which we can't live without. How could businessman be so bad to consumers?
