Monsoon Season

Oh yes, it is the time again for flooding around low lying areas in Malaysia. It is a yearly affair which would see that the search and rescue team in Malaysia will be very busy from now until the end of the raining season. It is quite irony that insufficient precaution have been taken up to prevent another occurence of death by flooding in Malaysia.

Having said that, I am sure that the government would have set up a task force to eliminate any possible loss of life due to a flood. God be with them all. I am just hoping that no one will perish in the water.

This is just a though. If the government were to make NS a compulsory stint for teenagers, why not they make it a compulsory that teenagers can swim? If they know how to swim, at least they will be able to help themselves or even help other people in time of floods, right? What say you?
