I can remember him being the front runner of most of the high profile cases in Malaysia. He has been the advocator of many people who were sentenced under the death penalty code. Many Malaysians remember him to be the miracle man in the judicial system, both in Malaysia and Singapore. You might be asking how come he can practice in Singapore. Yes, he is one of the many selected lawyers in town who can practice in Singapore too!
However, I was rather concerned about his issue over the introduction of hudud law claimed by PAS if PKR were to succeed in taking over the present government under Barisan National. Let's make the record straight. The man himself is trying to make a point where people would object to PAS using hudud law in Malaysia. It will be a disaster! PAS could say that such law would only apply to Muslims but can they guarantee it? Look at Kelantan for instance, I do have a friend who is staying and earning a living in Kelantan. I don't think my friend is having a great time over there particularly that area is predominantly an area where non Muslims are being taken advantage of.
I have many Muslim friends and we enjoy our company so please don't come up with the idea that I dislike Muslims or discriminate Muslims. In fact, I like them very much. It is just the minority of Muslims which, is quite evident in a way that all races are the same. There are good and bad people around. We just need to choose our friends wisely.
