China's death toll escalates to 50,000

China's earthquake aftermath has seen to the death toll escalating from 15,000 to 50,000 and the numbers are fast increasing with thousands missing. This is just too much to accept, unnecessary lives of the innocent perished for no rime or reason. The reasons for such acts of mother nature largely remains unknown, only God knows.

What has happened here is a disaster that cannot be fixed and China remains helpless and I really wander if anything constructive can be done, well, at least for the survivors. I am just very surprised that so many parts of China have been badly destroyed, infact to bits and pieces but the strange thing is Tibet that's located so close to the disaster, was left untouched and safe....

Oh yes, it is a very sad case. Rescue operations were hampered by the after shocks and one of them was in the magnitude of 6.7. :(
